Coronavirus: The First Vaccine Test Has Started in the United States

A Vaccine for Cronavirus Has Been Developed and Has Tested in Humans in the United States.

The vaccine has administered to 45 healthy volunteers at the Kaiser Permanent Research Center in Seattle, USA, the news agency reported.

The component of this vaccine is a genetic code of the Covid-Nineteen virus - which has been copied from the original virus. This copy is not dangerous, and it cannot infect humans.

Experts say the vaccine, or a few other vaccines that are now being studied, will take many more months to determine if it will work at all.

Scientists around the world are trying to speed up research.

This vaccine, called MRNA-1273, is not made from the virus that causes the Covid-19 infection. Rather, scientists have copied a part of the genetic signal of that virus and that is what has been included in this vaccine.

It is hoped that if the vaccine is administered, the virus can be counteracted by awakening the human body's own immune system.

Volunteers will be vaccinated twice in 28 days.

The vaccine will be given to different volunteers in different doses.

If the test is done well and safely, it can take up to 18 months to become available for public use.

The National Institutes of Health is missing an important step before testing the vaccine in humans. That is, whether the vaccine activates the immune system in the animal's body has not been tested.

But a biotechnology company called Modern Therapeutics is working on the vaccine, they say, following a well-tested process.

Imperial College London infectious disease specialist said. John Tregoning says the vaccine follows existing technology, and is designed to maintain extremely high standards.

"We already know that what has been used is safe to use in the human body and those who will take part in this trial will be closely monitored."

Dr. "Yes, it is being created very fast, but now we have to keep up with the virus and the work is being done for the good of humanity," said Tregoning.
